From Cale Shedden:

Hey, K! That was a great effort on that onside kick attempt at the end of Friday's game.. Nicely drawn up and executed..it looked like EE ball to me. I'm convinced in the past the call would have gone the Esks' way... but I have noticed since Hughie faded in to the background, his lack of influence at the top levels of the league/refs' office is becoming apparent. Your thoughts?

Cale,

Wow, I would hope that wasn't the case! I'd like to think that the refs are doing the best that they could. I thought I touched it last, but hey...win some lose some right?

From Destroyer Johnson:

hey kamau, you used to play on the bombers , but then you didnt do good so you went to hamilton and then you didnt do good there so you went to edmonton and now you are doing good in edmonton, because you are number 3 in receiving this season in the cfl. why? Great Job KP p.s. what is your fav. color? Bye

DJ,

Before I played in Winnipeg, I was pretty good in Calgary. You're right, I didn't play too well in Winnipeg, but I played well in Hamilton...if such a thing is possible. I think I'm playing better now because it's just a better situation for me all around. Favorite color?...Red.

From Tom:

I've been an Eskimo fan since the '70's. When I first read that you were a new Eskimo, I honestly felt like puking. I couldn't believe it. Man, was I wrong! You amaze me. It's a pleasure to watch you and the boys perform. I couldn't be happier to have you as part of this team. By watching your rapport with the other receivers, I can see that they look up to you. Way to go Kamau!! Oh yea, I am not a stalker, just a fan!! Keep up the great work. I sure hope #83 returns next year. I haven't read how his progress is going, but I hope there's a possibility. See you at the player awards at the end of the season. (Top Canadian.) ;) Sincerely, Tom Dupley Cranbrook, BC

Tom,

Glad to have made a believer out of you. Hopefully I can continue to help bring the Eskimos back to the level that they belong.

From Dontrell:

Hi Kamau You guys are loaded! How do you guard against overconfidence? You guys could throw your jerseys on the field and win most nights.. what do you, or your coaching staff, do to keep you grounded? thanks DJ

Hey Dontrell,

The game of football has a way of grounding even the most overconfident individuals. So much can happen so fast it's safe to say that if you don't stay humble, the game will humble you. Personally, I learned the hard way how easy it is to go from high, to low, and back to high again throughout my career. I've found now that the best thing for me to do is just stay even keeled the whole time. Never too up, and never too down because things can change in an instant.
