From Rob:

I want to know -- how did you manage to hang on to the ball after getting hit like that?? I been watching football 20 years now and never seen a catch like that ever. It was amazing.

Rob,

Once I was able to feel it hit my hands, I just held on as much as I could knowing that I was going to be knocked for a loop. The impact and the landing were the last things on my mind because I was going to get hit whether I caught it or not. With that in mind, I just wanted to make sure I was able to come up with the catch because that would make taking the hit worth it.

From Pizmo:

Having watched only the last quarter of the game against BC due to work, I noticed a huge increase in intensity in the team and particularly the receivers. The CATCH seemed to do that. To what do you attribute your 'change' in the last two years from what was potential unrealized to the Mr. Clutch that you are now(IMHO)?

Pizmo,

I honestly can't say that I've changed anything in my preparation or training. My approach to the game is the same as well. Having Ricky throwing the ball certainly doesn't hurt. I really just embraced my role and position here, as they really allowed me to spread my wings a bit by moving into the slotback position. Being stuck out at the wide side receiver for so many years, it's difficult at best to stay in tune to games mentally when so few balls come out there, and there are so few routes that are in play from that position.

From Diesel:

Hey KP, I'll come right out and say that the day the Esks signed you I was underwhelmed to say the least. This was mainly due to my seeing no prior evidence of the player you have evolved into once donning the hallowed silks of Green and Gold. Over the 32 years of watching Eskimo football I've only witnessed a small percentage of each generation 'Get It' in terms of understanding what it is to truly be an Eskimo. Ed, AJ, Mobes, Wad were massive losses in that category and it's nice to see someone grab the torch that others carried so high and far. What has being a part of the Eskimo Mystique eant to you now that you appear to be riding a return to meeting Eskimo Expectations?

Diesel,

It's always been a desire of mine to be a part of something great. I feel like I've found that here in Edmonton, and I wouldn't jeopardize it for anything. I've always admired this organization from a distance for how it operates with such professionalism, as well as the fire and swagger that it's teams have played with. The city and organization embraced me from the start in spite of some raised eyebrows like your own, I believe that people have been fair. Fair is all that I could ever ask for, and I'm very appreciative of that. Once we can get back to where the EE should be, it will mean a great deal to me personally, to be able to say that I had a hand in making that happen. That being said, we still have a ways to go.
