From Bob Gilbert:
Kamau,
My question is a personal one. Could you, when you next talk to Jason, please tell him how much he is appreciated both as a gifted athlete and a as role model for anyone who chooses to participate in sports? As a member of the 1956 Knothole gang I have him as my all-time favorite Eskimo. And I have been ardent fan for well over 50 years. Untroubled and unselfish is Jason Tucker…and for someone so talented, you just have to love that…
As a veterinarian in Fort McMurray for 32 years, I have seen many injuries of this type in cats and dogs and am encouraged by modern medicine. Brandon Guillery's case is truly an inspiration. But I agree with you that Jason will make the right decision in terms of his future because he seems very smart and from what is written about him, a caring family man. Nonetheless his fans will want what would be best for him and not necessarily for football. He is one of a kind.
Thank-you,
Doc,
I certainly will pass those words on too him, and you're one hundred percent correct in your assessment of Jason. Keep the faith, and know that he'll be just fine.
