From Vena:

Hey Mr. Peterson how come you picked FOOTBALL as you sport to play??

Vena,

That was one of the toughest decisions that I've ever had to make to be honest. I went to the University of New Hampshire on a 3 sport scholarship (football, basketball, and track) so I definitely had options. I was probably the most talented as a track athlete, but I didn't really care for the sport enough to do it exclusively. Basketball was my passion, but I felt that at 6'1" the road was stacked heavily against my success in that realm professionally. As for football, it was the newest sport to me having only played for the first time as a senior in high school. In spite of how new it was, it was evident that I had an affinity for the game, and my size and speed were already considered pro-level by the time I was in my second year in University. Ultimately it came down to a decision between Football and Basketball, and I felt like my future was brighter in football...despite basketball being my passion.
